Prerequisites

To use the secondary backup destination feature, your primary backup destination must be of synthetic type.

Explanation

The secondary backup destination allows you to store the same backup in two places. Unlike using the second rule, Storware Backup & Recovery creates only one export task in this scenario for both backup destinations. After the export finishes successfully, downloaded files are sent to two backup destinations in separate store tasks for each BD.

Optionally, you can create a schedule of Backup synchronization type. This will help you synchronize backups between backup destinations in case the secondary backup destination will be unavailable for some reason during the backup window.
